The Wisbech rail link is become increasingly prominent in future local transport plans, and today it is the turn of Cambridgeshire County Council. Their Local Transport Plan has just been updated with the future rail network now including an hourly through service from Wisbech to Cambridge, and an additional hourly shuttle as far as March giving a half hourly service between Wisbech and March. This is another significant piece of support for the Wisbech Rail Reopening Campaign’s aim of ensuring a direct rail link to Cambridge is established.
