Reconnections at March Whitemoor Junction
Work to reconnect a Wisbech to the national rail network has been largely completed at March by Network Rail as a result of their work to reconnect Whitemoor railway infrastructure yard to the network. A train every hour to and from Wisbech should not disrupt NR’s workings if a strict timetable is adhered to.

This map shows the route between Wisbech and March with its level crossings. The notes show that several crossings at will need new automated crossing protection. The A47 Wisbech by-pass level crossing will not be greatly disrupted by just two train movements an hour.

The new station should be as close as possible to the town centre. Road access will probably be off Cromwell Road but shorter foot and cycle paths could be created.
